ICAR KVK Karur organized the World Environment Day at Veeranampatti village, Kadavur block on 5.6.2020. T6.he SMS (Agronomy) M. Thirumurugan gave the welcome address and gave a brief introduction about tree planting and organic farming in the programme. The AGM NABARD presided over the programme and gave special address on the theme of World Environment day. The KVK Senior Scientist and Head Dr. J. Diraviam gave technical lecture on environmental conservation through promotion of biodiversity. The SMS (Home Science) Dr L.Malathi gave lecture on immunity booster and the SMS (Horticulture) gave lecture on fruit crops cultivation and the Programme Assistant (Technical) Mr P. Karuppasami briefed about the importance of soil testing. Totally 70 tree saplings comprising 8 species were distributed to the farmers and tree planting taken up in public place. Immunity booster Kapasura kudineer was given to all participants. Totally 29 farmers attended the programme.
