Dr. K.L.Rao Krishi Vignan Kendra, Garikapadu organized one day Programme for Farmers on Fertilizer application awareness programme on 22.10.2019 at KVK, Garikapadu. Nearly about 250 farmers and 50 officials and peoples representatives were participated. Dr. Y. Padmalatha, Principal Scientist & Head, Agriculture Research Station, Garikapadu in her address told about the importance of Soil test based fertilizer application with an example of situation happened in Anantapuram district. Sri. Ramana murthy, ADA, Nandigama in his address advised the farmers to avoid excessive use of chemical fertilizers Sri G.Ravindranadh, State Manager, IFFCO Company in his address told that because of non availability of organic manures like FYM and compost the farmers were depending on the chemical fertilizers and also inform that the products of the IFFCO were available only at cooperative societies and not yet private dealers. Sri Sridhar Reddy, IFFCO Manager in Krishna and Guntur district in his address stressed on the importance of larger urea granule application and told about the complex fertilizers manufactured by IFFCO. The address of Sri Narendra Singh Thomar, Union Agriculture Minister, Government of India telecasted in between 12.00 noon to 1.00 PM.

Sri Samineni Udaya Bhanu, Member of Legislative Assembly, Jaggayyapet and Chief whip Government of AP in his address stressed the importance of use organic manure. He appreciated the efforts of KVK and ARS Garikapadu.
